Diagramming announcement: Deadline for moving to new 3D
Get ready to take your diagrams to another level! 3D Diagramming went through a makeover in July of last year, giving you enhanced imagery and new controls for a more immersive experience. With the new functions in place, this announcement serves as notice that we will be decommissioning the classic 3D this year.
If you have not done so already, now is the time to enable and start using this upgraded feature at your property. Regardless of whether you have used 3D in the past, or if you are new to it, we have created a new help topic to get you started. Jump over to the Enabling 3D page for more information.
Additional features available with Property Edition
We have made some of the most common items used look even better! We have designed new 3D models for the following objects:
- Column – Simple
- Pillar – Simple
- Microphone - Desktop Microphone
- Microphone w/Stand - Mic with Stand and Cord
- Rectangle (table) - Rectangle Folding Table
- Rectangle (table) - Stretch Rectangle Table Cover
- Round (table) - Stretch Round Table Cover
To help you make your 3D room plan look as realistic as possible, we have made tabletops and table legs separate elements for customization. Now your tables can have different colors and textures represented as needed. Here are some examples:
We also made a few other changes to simplify names and consolidate your resources:
- Round - Wooden Round Table renamed to Round No Cloth
- Rectangle - Wooden Rectangle Table renamed to Rectangle No Cloth
- Floor microphone moved under Microphone w/Stand object
- Table microphone moved under Microphone w/Stand object
- Classic Mic with Stand microphone moved under Microphone object
Meeting spaces come in all shapes and sizes. You can now have your room plans default to either print portrait or landscape by default. The default is controlled by a check box on the meeting space editor, and, of course, can be changed if needed when designing the event or when printing the diagram.
You can also see immediately what orientation each meeting space is set to by default, right in the list view of the meeting spaces. The orientation initially defaults to portrait until it is changed to landscape.
This default setting also carries over to Delphi for those properties that are integrated, so users printing diagrams from Delphi enjoy the same benefits.
Do you want to batch print your diagrams but not have to print all of them associated to the booking? You now have a choice when it comes to batch printing. With just one click, you can indicate which diagrams to leave out of a batch print. A list view of the booking events also shows which are included in the batch print for easy reference. This default setting also carries over to Delphi for those properties that are integrated, so users batch merging in Delphi enjoy the same benefits.
