Create guest messages in a group

Guest messages are used to leave a message for the guest. This can be a standard welcome message or registering an important message if someone called for the guest. Guest messages display in the reservation during check-in and check-out.

For example, you checked in a group and want to display a welcome message in each room of the guests on their TV.

Prerequisites

If you want the message to display on the guests' TV, you need a Pay-TV interface connection.

To create a guest message in a group

  1. From the home page, do one of the following to open the Seek page:
    • Press SHIFT+CTRL+H on your keyboard.

    • Click Front desk in your top bar and select Group in house.

      To view the full list of all in-house groups, leave all fields in the seek page empty.

  2. Click Confirm (). The Groups in house page displays.
  3. Do one of the following to display the appropriate group reservation: 
    • Select the reservation and click Confirm ().

    • Double-click the reservation.

  4. Click the Tools icon (), and then select Guest messages. The Guest message page displays.
  5. To create a new message, click the Create new icon (). The Add guest message page displays.
  6. Type the message you want to display in the message text.
  7. Do one of the following: 
    • Click Confirm () to complete your message.

    • Click Cancel () to discard your message.

  8. When confirmed, the message is created.

    New messages have an N status. Printed messages have a P status. Deleted messages have an X status.
    The message icon () is visible in the top bar of the group reservation when guest messages are attached.
