Delete guest messages in a group

Guest messages are used to leave a message for the guest. This can be a standard welcome message or registering an important message if someone called for the guest. For example, you have created a guest message in the wrong group reservation and want to remove it.

To delete guest messages in a group

  1. From the home page, do one of the following to open the Seek page:
    • Press SHIFT+CTRL+R on your keyboard.

    • Click Reservations in your top bar and select Group Reservations.

  2. Complete the search fields on this page as needed. All fields are optional.

    Seek details
    Folio number

    Enter the unique number of the group reservation.

    Group Name

    Enter the group name for the reservation.

    Company

    Enter the company name associated to the reservation.

    Company contact

    Enter the name of the company contact person associated to the reservation.

    Event type

    Enter the event type for the reservation.

    Travel agent

    Enter the travel agency name associated to the reservation.

    Travel agent contact

    Enter the name of the travel agency contact person associated to the reservation.

    Arrival date

    Enter the arrival date of the group.

    Depart date

    Enter the departure date of the group.

    Option date

    Enter the option date of the group.

  3. Click Confirm (). The Browse group reservations page displays.

  4. Do one of the following to display the appropriate group reservation:
    • Select the reservation and click Confirm ().

    • Double-click the reservation.

  5. Click the Tools icon () in the group reservation and select Guest messages. The Guest message page displays.
  6. Select the message and click the Delete icon (). A warning message displays asking to delete current record.
  7. Do one of the following: 
    • Click Yes to complete.

    • Click No to discard.

  8. When confirmed, the message is deleted.

    New messages have an N status. Printed messages have a P status. Deleted messages have an X status.
    The message icon () is visible in the top bar of the group reservation when guest messages are attached.
