Introduction to Using MeetingBroker

Amadeus welcomes you to MeetingBroker! Congratulations on joining more than 16,000 worldwide locations in using the industry-leading platform for group business distribution.

MeetingBroker is a lead-passing application that connects meeting planners and sales people. For example, if a planner clicks a link on a hotel website to submit an RFP (request for proposal), MeetingBroker reviews the information and routes the lead to the appropriate Sales Manager for a quick response.

Your location chooses which channels to add to your subscription, similar to a television service. A few of the available channels include:

Instead of having to log into different websites and remember different passwords and processes to respond to the leads from all of these places, when you funnel them all through MeetingBroker, you stay in one place to work with all of your leads. And if you integrate MeetingBroker with your sales and catering system, like Amadeus Sales & Catering, the lead information is imported and automatically creates accounts, contacts, and bookings for you. This saves your team so much time and allows you to respond to your customer quickly. Research shows that the first location to respond to a customer's inquiry typically wins the business. So getting your leads processed as efficiently as possible plays an important role in the success of your team.

Before logging in the first time, make sure you complete the New user tasks.

The steps that you perform in MeetingBroker vary depending on your role in the lead-passing process, and if you are integrated with your sales and catering system or not. This content is organized by role to help you find what you need.

Receivers

If you work in the sales or catering office at a property that contracts group business, and you receive and respond to leads, you will primarily work in the RFPs folder. Use the Receivers section of Help, and start with Overview: RFPs.

Senders

National sales offices, central reservations, and call centers are all examples of senders. You gather meeting information from clients and then distribute the information to the appropriate locations. Use the Senders section of Help, and start with Overview: Meetings.

Administrators

Typically one or two people at each location are granted administrator rights to create users and manage settings. If that's you, start with Introduction to MeetingBroker Administration.
