Information details

Default Start Time 12 hour and Default End Time 12 hour These are the most common start and end times for this event classification.
Default Posted When selected, the event displays in the Event Posting report, which is used to populate the reader boards. For example, you might not want to post breaks, so you can clear this checkbox for the break event classification.

This is the default tax group used for this event classification.

Default Setup This is the default room setup. Leave this field blank if the same setup is not always used for this type of event.
Active When selected, the event classification is available for use when blocking events. Clear the checkbox if the event classification is no longer used. Inactive classifications continue to display in existing records but are not available for new events.

Average checks details

Default <revenue classification> Average Check For each revenue classification, this value is the most common amount charged for this event. For non-package events, the average check is used for forecasting revenue in reports until the BEO is detailed and the event is marked Done. For package events, forecasted revenue is based on the event's revenue breakdown.

When your menus change, you might need to update average checks.
When Update Booking Event Average Checks is selected on the Property page, the average checks are automatically updated each time the event classification is changed.

Default <revenue classification> Average Check Factor

The Average Check Factor controls how the forecasted revenue is calculated, per person or per event.

  • Per Person - The amount is multiplied by the guaranteed or actual attendance, whichever is greater.
  • Per Event - The amount is a flat fee for the entire event.
