View inquiry details
This page is used for inquiries that were manually created. For inquiries that originated as MeetingBroker RFPs, see Open inquiries created from RFPs.
Use the Inquiry Detail page to display the inquiry details, create a booking from the inquiry, clone the inquiry, and add activities. If you are the inquiry owner, you can also edit the inquiry details, add notes and attachments, and delete the inquiry.
To open the Inquiry Detail page, do one of the following:
- Find the inquiry using the Search field at the top of any page, and then click the inquiry name.
- In the Inquiries section of an account or booking, click the inquiry name.
- Click the Inquiries tab, select the appropriate view, and then click the inquiry name.
To help you work with your inquiries, the page includes several areas of detail. Select your Salesforce experience for further details.

This is the start date of the inquiry. |
Status |
The values for this field are as follows: Open - The inquiry has been created, but no details have been added. Working - Details are being added to the inquiry. Qualified - The inquiry has been converted to a booking. This is an automatic status that is assigned to the inquiry after the new booking is saved. Turndown - The inquiry is declined. Lost - The business has been lost to a competitor. |
Rating | This value indicates the likelihood of the inquiry becoming future business. |

DUNS Number | If your property integrates with Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and the inquiry's account matches an account in the D&B database, a DUNS number displays. DUNS stands for Data Universal Numbering System, a unique nine-digit identifier assigned to a business entity. This number is universally recognized as a way to track and learn about a business. If your property does not integrate with Dun & Bradstreet but you know the DUNS number for the account, you can manually enter it in this field. |
Property | This is the name of the receiving property. If you created the inquiry from an account, the account's property displays. |
Type |
This is the type of business for this inquiry. |
Market Segment |
This is the market segment of the inquiry. |
Booking Type | This value further describes the potential business, for example, Social, Wedding, or Conference. |
Lead Source | This indicates how the business learned about your property. |
Owner | This is the name of the user assigned to the inquiry. |

All fields | If an existing account and contact are selected for the inquiry, those records display here. |
Temporary Contact & Account | |
All fields | If a new account and contact are entered for the inquiry, that information displays here. If a booking is created from the inquiry, new records are created using this account and contact information. |

Guestroom Information | |
All fields | This area displays the estimated number of rooms, rate, and revenue for the inquiry. This information is not used to take rooms out of inventory or calculate guestroom revenue on the booking. However, the peak roomnight information is used to create the room pattern. |
Event Information | |
All fields | This area displays the estimated number of event days and event revenue for the inquiry. This information is not used to block function space or forecast event revenue on the booking. |
System Information | |
Created By |
This is the user who created the inquiry. |
Last Modified By |
This is the user who last modified the inquiry. |
Lost Business Information | |

When the status of the inquiry is changed to lost or turndown, this section displays information about the lost business. |
The Inquiry Detail page also includes the following related lists, which you can use to manage the records associated with the inquiry:

Notes & Attachments | This displays any merged documents from the inquiry. If you are the inquiry owner, you can add, edit, and delete notes and attachments that include additional information about the record. |

Inquiry History | This is an audit trail of changes made to the inquiry. This includes the date of the change, the user who made the change, and the action performed. |
