How package events are created on bookings
When you add an event to a package in Setup, you can see the Event Create Day field on the New Package Event page. Use this field to set when the event is created: on the Day Of the booking's arrival or the Next Day. This designation is used to create the first occurrence of each event on the booking.
For multi-day packages, some events might occur more than once. To ensure that those events repeat on the appropriate days, users need to enter an end date when they create the package events. The event is then created on each day within that date range. If an end date is not entered, only a single event is created on the start date that displays.
The following sections show how the Event Create Day designation is used to create package events on a booking.
Same-day meeting package
In a same-day meeting package, all the events occur on the same day. When you add the default events to the package, you need to select Day Of in the Event Create Day field. The events are created on the booking's arrival date.
24-Hour meeting package
In a 24-hour package, events might occur on the booking's arrival date as well as the next day. When you add the default events to this package, you can select either Day Of or Next Day in the Event Create Day field.
When users add the 24-hour meeting package to a booking, the Event Start Date and Event End Date on the Booking Package Event page are the same. The dates are the same because only the first occurrence of each event is automatically created. If an event needs to repeat on other days of the program, users need to update the Event End Date. The events are then created on each day within that date range.
