Create setup values

Throughout the system you can see fields, like market segments and function room setups, that have a list in them. The choices in those lists are called setup values.

Setup values are defined at the corporate or property level.

For information on which objects reference each setup value, see Overview: Setup values.

To create new setup values

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To create a property setup value, in the Setup Values section of the Property page, click New.
    • To create a corporate setup value, navigate to Setup Values, and click New.
  2. If you are a corporate administrator, select to create a Corporate Setup Value or Property Setup Value, and then click Continue. The New Setup Value page displays.
  3. Select the Setup Value Type and enter the value.
  4. Enter an Abbreviation for the setup value.
  5. Select the Active checkbox to display the value in its associated list. A setup value needs to have an active status to be available.

Only those properties you have access to are available.

  6. Enter the Sort Order for the setup value. This value controls the order in which the value displays.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • Click Save to save your changes.
    • Click Save & New to save your changes and create another setup value.
    • Click Cancel to discard your changes.
