Overview: Function rooms
Function rooms are the spaces within your property where events are held. The Function Diary uses the following icons to identify the different types of function rooms that can be blocked:
Two types of function rooms exist:
- Indivisible (
) - The room cannot be divided into other rooms. - Combination (
) - The room consists of two or more indivisible rooms.
In addition, your property has an automatically generated function room called Unassigned. Do not make any changes to this room. The Unassigned room is a virtual placeholder for events that either are not assigned a function room or have a conflict with function room availability. To resolve these conflicts, users need to move the event to a different available function room. For further details, see Resolve event conflicts.
When a combination function room is blocked, all the indivisible rooms it includes are also blocked. The Function Diary displays the indivisible rooms in a lighter shade of the event status color to indicate that the rooms are also unavailable. In addition, when an indivisible room is blocked for an event, the entire combination room displays as unavailable during that time.
