Work with inclusive pricing

The content of this page is specific to the Delphi product type. If you are using the Delphi Core product type, click here to access the Delphi Core-specific online help.

An inclusive price includes all applicable taxes and can also include gratuity and administrative charges. When you add a menu or item to an event, for example, the exclusive price is calculated by deducting those fees from the inclusive price. The inclusive and exclusive prices both display.

Your administrator enters inclusive prices for everything your property offers for events. If needed, you can modify these prices for a particular event. The exclusive price is adjusted based on the new inclusive price you enter. Likewise, if you modify the exclusive price, the inclusive price is recalculated. You need to enter the inclusive price for your guestroom blocks.

The following sections include additional information to work with inclusive pricing.

Menus and items

When selected, the Inclusive checkbox, on the Menu and Item Search window, indicates that the item price includes all applicable taxes.

When you add a menu to an event, you can see the inclusive and exclusive prices for each of the menu's revenue breakdowns.

When you add an item to an event, the inclusive and exclusive prices both display. The exclusive price of the item is calculated by deducting the taxes that apply to the matching revenue classification. Those taxes are part of the tax group assigned to the event.

If your revenue classifications include admin and gratuity charges and taxes in the inclusive price, the Incl. checkbox is selected on the Editing Item Details page. If you do not want to include admin or gratuity charges in the inclusive price, clear this checkbox and the Inclusive Price field is adjusted automatically.

Function room rental

You can see the inclusive and exclusive rental rate for a function room in the Booking Events grid and the Quick Create window in the Function Diary.

Guestrooms

You need to enter the inclusive rate for a guestroom type on the Room Block Details page. The exclusive rate is calculated automatically.

If your property uses a flat rate occupancy tax, this amount is not included in inclusive pricing. However the occupancy tax does show on a separate line in merged documents.

Booking other income

Both the inclusive and exclusive prices for an other income item display in the Price and Attendance grid on the Booking Other Income page.

Packages

Inclusive prices display for all the package events, other income items, and guestrooms included in the package.
