Add other income items to bookings

An other income item generates revenue that is not included in the standard event and guestroom categories. For example, your customer wants to offer their VIP attendees valet parking and an afternoon of golf. The parking and golf are other income items that you can add to the booking. Additional examples of other income items include spa, theater tickets, transportation, restaurant meals, and ski lift tickets. Your administrator needs to create other income items in Setup before they can be added to a booking.

An other income item can also be added to a booking as part of a package.

When you add an other income item to a booking, you need to specify the item quantity for each day of the booking. That quantity, along with the item price, is used to calculate the booking's forecasted and actual revenue.

To add an other income item to a booking

  1. Open the booking, navigate to the Other Income section, and then click New. The New Booking Other Income page displays.
  2. Select the item to add.
  3. Click Save. The Booking Other Income page displays.
  4. In the Price and Attendance grid, do the following:
    • In the Values For list, select Non-Package, if applicable.

      This list only displays when packages exist on the booking.

    • If needed, update the Price for each day the group has requested the item.
    • Enter the quantity of the item in the appropriate attendance fields. For example, a group of 50 guests are attending a seminar, but only the 10 VIPs are playing golf. In this case, you need to enter 10 in the Agreed and Expected fields.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click the booking name to return to the booking.
