Overview: Page layouts
Page layouts can be edited for accounts, contacts, tasks, appointments, inquiries, bookings, booking events, and volume contracts. Corporate administrators can use page layouts to control the following:

Which fields and sections are visible to users

Which fields are required
-
The display order of information
-
What information displays in each section
The process of opening and editing a page layout depends on your Salesforce experience. Select your Salesforce experience for further details.

To edit a page layout
- Open a record with the page layout you want to edit. For example, if you want to edit the Account page layout, open an account.
- Click Edit Layout in the top-right corner of the page.

To edit a page layout

Open a record with the page layout you want to edit. For example, if you want to edit the Account page layout, open an account.

Click Setup (

Click Edit Page. The Lightning App Builder page layout displays.
If you are editing a managed package record page for the first time, Salesforce clones the pages, updates the API Name, and allows you to edit it in the Lightning App Builder.

To edit the page layout.

Open the Fields list on the left and use the Quick Find to locate the field.

Open your preferred tab in the selected Lightning record page.

Drag the field to the appropriate location.

Click Save.
If you are editing a managed package record page for the first time, Salesforce prompts you to activate the page after saving to make the page available for users. You can do this from the Save dialog or later using the Activation button and following the prompts.
The following are Managed Package record pages: Lightning Home Page, Booking Lightning Page, Account Lightning Page, Booking Event Lightning Page, Contact Lightning Page, Inquiry Lightning Page, Volume Contract Lightning Page, Package Lightning Page, Property Lightning Page. Note that these pages are not automatically enabled. For more information on enabling the managed package record pages, see Manage packages.
