Amadeus Settings

The Amadeus Settings page includes a variety of controls and utilities. Some of these settings are used only by Amadeus Support, and others are for corporate administrators to customize org-wide options.

Use caution before you modify any settings on this page, as they impact all users at all properties.

Setting Description
System Setup and Configuration Settings

(*) - Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative

Populate Custom Settings* This is used to create or update Salesforce custom settings after upgrades or org changes. These settings include the merge service and VisualForce Reports. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Create Picklist Mappings* This is used to create list mappings. This is used after a new property is created or by Amadeus Support after upgrades or org changes. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Enable / Disable Triggers* This manually adjusts triggers. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Enable property-level security* This controls public security settings for accounts and properties. Do not modify these settings. Making modifications here in an existing org can impact data. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
User Property Access This assigns property access, permission sets and default properties to users.
Setup Values This adds, removes, or modifies list values, including Market Segments and Lead Sources.
Replace Setup Values This replaces setup values on existing records after a migration or an update to existing setup values.

Corporate administrators have access by default. If you want to grant a property administrator access, give the Replace Setup Values permission set in the user profile.

Reassign Owners This reassigns owners on accounts, bookings, tasks, and appointments.
Recreate Snapshots by Property* This deletes and recreates the baseline snapshot data used in performance reporting. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Manage Merge Fields This adds fields to the Amadeus Merge Tool.
Enable Enhanced Booking Event Conflict Checking* This improves the performance of conflict checking for large databases by storing the function room inventory in a dedicated table. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Refresh Function Room Associations* This refreshes function rooms if modifications to function rooms are made in the application but are not correct in the Function Diary. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Index Setup Values* This allows searches on the Setup Values data table in Large Data Volume organizations. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Enable Enhanced Taxes and Inclusive Pricing This enables enhanced taxes and inclusive pricing.

If your org was created before version R21, you can use this option to enable enhanced taxes. Otherwise, enhanced taxes are enabled by default.

If your property quotes rates inclusive of taxes and service charges, enable Inclusive Pricing.

This option displays the inclusive fields throughout Delphi.

Availability Settings This configures settings for the availability page that include certain booking details and color settings.
System Purge This deletes older system object records on a rolling basis.

As part of normal system processing, Salesforce stores records in internal system objects for tracking. This ensures that the system only keeps the minimum number of records in these objects.

To check the amount of storage used in every object, access the System Overview page in Setup. If you see that the Object Notifications, Log Entries, or Messages objects use a large amount of storage, contact Amadeus Support.
Disable Amadeus Security Log This disables the Amadeus Security Log. Amadeus does not recommend disabling the Amadeus Security Log. The Amadeus Security Log tracks critical information used to identify when system changes happen.
Background Recalculation Settings These settings allow guestroom type day updates, object notification generation, and merge jobs to process in the background when a certain threshold is exceeded.
Org-Wide Default Settings

Set the default property for <your org> If your org has more than one property, a corporate administrator can specify the default property if a user has not selected a default property. This property displays when users open the Availability Page or Enter Pickup page, and when they create new inquiries, bookings, and volume contracts. The default property is also automatically added to new accounts if the Automatically Assign Default Property Account option is enabled for the org.
Force BEO and Banquet Check to PDF This removes the Microsoft Word option and makes PDF the default document type when merging BEOs and Banquet Checks. This applies to both the Create Merge Document and the Create Batch Merge Document pages.
Allow Menu and Item Description Justification This displays or hides the justification buttons on the Editing Item Detail, Edit Description, and Item Details pages.
  • When this option is selected, menu and item descriptions in the merged BEO reflect the formatting applied in the Description field.
  • When this option is cleared, menu and item descriptions in the merged BEO are formatted according to the merge template.
Exclude unmanaged fields when cloning bookings When selected, the information in all custom fields, unless marked as required, is excluded during the booking cloning process.
Enable Room Block Shortcuts This enables the following keyboard shortcuts in the Room Block Details window:
  • CTRL+B - Copies the rooms and rates from a selected room type and day to the rest of the pattern.
  • CTRL+SHIFT+B - Copies the selected row, for example, Block, to the rest of the pattern.
  • CTRL+S - Saves changes.

These shortcuts do not apply to the Pickup row.

Enable Function Room Rental Shortcuts This displays the default rental amount in the function room list when a user selects a function room in the event grid. The default rental amount also automatically populates the function room rental amount. In addition, the rental amount copies to the forecasted rental field to allow for accurate forecasting.

If you want to enable this feature in an org created before R33, the corporate administrator has additional steps to follow. See Enable function room shortcut.

Allow users to delete events on bookings they own or are sourced on This allows anyone who owns or is sourced on a booking to delete the events.
Allow Property Administrators to create new properties This grants all property administrators access to create properties. Corporate administrators automatically have this access.
Enable eProposal direct for MeetingBroker bookings This allows users to choose whether to go directly to eProposal when they click the Send Proposal button on the Booking page. To use this option, your property needs to be integrated with both Cendyn eProposal and MeetingBroker.

When this feature is enabled users can:

  • Send an eProposal - Select this option if the RFP is from a channel that does not have its own proposal page.
  • Respond to MeetingBroker - Select this option if the RFP is from Cvent or another channel that has its own proposal page.

After this feature is enabled, a MeetingBroker location administrator also needs to perform some steps to bypass the proposal choice. See Enable users to go directly to eProposal.

Keep setup value lookup and picklist fields in sync (requires indexed setup values)* To improve application stability and performance in larger orgs, this setting converts list values to lookups, which eliminates Salesforce picklist processing. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Disable default Delphi Select setup value creation on property create This allows corporate administrators of multi-module orgs to restrict the creation of default property setup values when a new Delphi Select location is created.

When this feature is enabled, the only property setup values that are created are event classifications.

Disable creation of Delphi Select property setup values by Property Admins This allows corporate administrators of multi-module orgs to restrict Delphi Select property administrators from creating their own property setup values.

When this feature is enabled, only the corporate administrator can add values for the properties in the environment. The option to create new values is no longer available to anyone who does not have corporate administrator access.

Enable New Manage Guestroom User Experience. This enables the redesigned user interface for product pages related to room block management.
  • When selected, the enhanced Manage Guestrooms, Enter Pickup, and inline Guestroom pages are the default experience.
  • When this option is cleared, the experience reverts back to the classic design.

This feature is available with version R49 or higher.

Enable Availability Integration This prepares the organization to establish connections with external availability sources. To finish the configuration, contact Amadeus Support. To learn more about External Availability, see External availability integration overview.
Enable Custom Metadata Storage for Merge This enables custom metadata storage for merge.
Number of decimals used in revenue calculations
  • Use scale of 2 in revenue calculations
  • Use scale of 4 in revenue calculations
This determines the number of decimals in revenue calculations.

Historically, subtotals were rounded to 2 digits and then added together for the grand total in merge documents and reports. To improve accuracy, Amadeus recommends to the scale of 4. The 4 digits are calculated, and the totals are rounded to the 2 digits that display.

Integration Settings

Amadeus Hospitality Web Services Registration* This registers or maintains the link between the Amadeus user and the Amadeus Hospitality Web Services (AHWS) user. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
Amadeus Hospitality Web Services Console.* This manages all aspects of your integration with Amadeus Hospitality Web Service. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
AHWS Data Collection Settings* This allows support administrators to modify the behavior of AHWS data collection. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
eProposal Setup* This configures direct integration to Cendyn eProposal. Do not use unless instructed by an Amadeus Representative.
