Create volume contract periods automatically

You can automatically create time periods in a volume contract. When you do this, the value you select in the Anticipated Periods list is used. You must be the volume contract owner to add periods.

You can also create periods manually.

To create a volume contract period automatically

  1. In the Volume Contracts section on an account or contact, click the contract name.
  2. Click Auto Create Volume Contract Periods.
  3. Confirm the details and click Auto Create Volume Contract Periods again. The periods are created and display in the Periods section.
  4. In the Volume Contract Periods section, click Edit next to a period. The Volume Contract Period Edit page displays.
  5. If necessary, update the Name, Currency, Period, Period Start Date, and Period End Date fields.
  6. Enter the number of Forecast Rooms and the Forecast Rate for that period.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Repeat these steps for each additional period.

The forecast revenue is automatically created for each period. This information, along with the number of forecast rooms, displays in the Revenue Information section of the volume contract.

When you enter pickup for the volume contract, the Actual Rooms, Actual Rate, and Actual Revenue fields for the period are automatically updated.
