Overview: Volume contract periods
You can define time periods within a volume contract's date range that specify the number of guestrooms the client is contracted to book. These time periods display in the Periods section of the Volume Contract Detail page.
You can define volume contract periods in two ways:
- Automatic - The system uses the value in the Anticipated Periods list, on the Volume Contract Detail page, to automatically divide the volume contract into time periods. You can then enter the forecast rooms and rate for each period.
- Manual - Using the Periods section of the Volume Contract Detail page, you can manually define each time period. You can then enter the forecast rooms and rate for each period.
As guestrooms are consumed and you enter pickup for the volume contract, the pickup is automatically recorded for the appropriate period. The total actuals for all periods display on the Volume Contract Detail page. See Enter pickup.
You must be the volume contract owner to add, edit, or delete periods.
