New Features
- Booking Event Account updates when the account on the booking is changed. (CR0090987) It's not uncommon to find yourself in a situation where you need to change the account on a booking. For example, if the booking came from an agency, you want to make sure that the account reflects the company who will be present on the day, when the agent discloses that information to you. When the account is changed, it is important for reporting purposes that all areas of the booking are updated. With R50, when you change the account on a booking, any associated booking event will now automatically be updated with the new account. For special events where you may have already changed the account, fear not. Those will remain unchanged. The update only applies to any booking events where the account is a match.
- Maintaining guestroom availability. Property administrators - it's time to strike the task of adding future guestroom availability off your to-do lists! When you upgrade to R50, an automated process will be activated to take care of this work for you. Behind the scenes, the system will make sure your property always has 5 years of availability for all active guestroom types. It will create anything that is missing to ensure your users have everything they need to keep selling well into the future.
If you are a corporate administrator who is worried about how that could affect data storage, don't worry - we have something new for you. Our guestroom type day purge utility will remove historic availability records that are more than 5 years old. This will keep your data storage amount at reasonable levels.
These features are both enabled as part of the update to R50 or higher. If you want discuss delaying activation of either feature or changing their settings, please contact Amadeus Hospitality Customer Support. - New indicator to show when saving, creating or opening a page is in progress. When you create something new in Delphi, back-end processes run to make sure everything saves correctly. There are certain areas of the system where it's clearer that this is happening more than other areas. To make sure you know the system is still hard at work, we have added a new visual indicator to some of our product pages. A blue progress bar lets you know that saving or page loading is still in progress. The bar disappears after the page is fully loaded and available for you to continue your work.
- Option to return to Delphi for multi-module users. If you are a multi-module user, who works with properties in both Delphi and Delphi Select, we have amazing news for you. A menu option has been added that will allow you to toggle seamlessly back to Delphi. If you are looking to switch back, make your way to the list of menu options that display next to your name and select Delphi. Easy as that!
- Updated list of country codes for properties being newly created. For this release, we have updated the list of country codes that displays when new properties are created. The list includes 11 additional countries and aligns with the standard list recognized by Salesforce.
Fixed Issues
CR0122364: Booking events display in the chronological (date then time) sort order on the Manage Events page. Event start times can be entered with times to the minute and without the limitation of 15 minute increments.
CR0134373: Event Only users no longer receive permission warnings when they attempt to move, change the status, or clone bookings.
CR0130256: The Event Posting report displays all events in chronological (date then time) sort order.
CR0137297: When a user's locale settings are set to English (Canada), the days of the week display in English on the Availability, Room Block, and Enter Pickup pages.
CR0121887: When batch merging from a booking, the merge template displayed defaults to the booking's property. This provides a cleaner experience for users who have access to more than one property and whose default property is different to the location listed on the booking.
CR0122025: When adding new Booking Other Income records to a booking, the currency of the items defaults to the currency of the booking.
CR0136961: When adding/creating new Deposits, invalid currency error messages will no longer display.
CR0137074: When working in BEO Search, the returned results display the most recent document generated.
CR0137160: View Only users, that have the Banquets permission set, now have the ability to modify Event Items.
CR0137310: Estimated Rate is no longer needed to convert an inquiry to a booking.
CR0134598: Alternate language fields (abbreviation, name, display name, and description) are included when the Clone Package button is used to copy package setup.
CR0134576: The number of characters visible in the picklist for Function Room Name has been extended to 50. This allows property administrators to see more clearly which rooms they are selecting when creating new Combination Function Rooms for their property.
CR0137086: When a property name is changed, all product picklists will update correctly via an upgraded systems processor. Users can expect to see all picklist fields working as expected.
CR0136956: When creating a new property with a custom Event Classification file, all records are created with the correct 24 hour default start and end times.
CR0137059: Errors will no longer be received if the sender of a MeetingBroker RFP accidentally added a blank space before or after their email address.
CR0129981: For incoming MeetingBroker RFPs, the # of Attendees now maps to the Guests field on the inquiry.
For platform security reasons, the password fields have been removed from the Personal Data Storage object.

New Features
- Repair partially moved bookings. (CR0091452) It's common for your clients to change their plans. The Move Booking button makes light work of the big task of shifting the booking's guestrooms and events to the right dates. Sometimes, when the booking you're moving is a long duration, the unexpected can happen. At times like this, it's always good having the right tools on hand to solve any problem. With this release, we are introducing a self repair tool that allows you to course correct bookings that you may discover have only partially been moved.
- A new field on the Booking page, "Bypass Move Rules Until,' has been added. This field allows your corporate or property administrators to set a time when some of the system's rules will be relaxed so the booking move may be completed. This can be up to two hours into the future. View this topic for more information on how to add this field to your Booking page layout .
- If a previous attempt to move a booking did not go as expected, the user will be taken to a new page when they click the Move Booking button. This page will include the previous attempt to move the booking along with the previous and new arrival dates. The details provided on the page include the number of events, room blocks, and bookings that were successfully moved in this attempt. The user can then decide to resume the move or revert the entire booking back to the original dates.
- New guestroom experience. (CR0134710, CR136620, CR0122145, CR0132788, CR0131706) By popular demand, we are very excited to present a brand new guestroom user experience. With a new look and feel, we hope to dazzle you with a host of new features that are available either via the Manage Guestrooms button or from the Guestrooms panel located on the booking page.
- The current day Basic and Advanced tabs on the Room Block Details have been consolidated to a single page, making it easier to complete the fields you need when you are creating a new room block.
- On the same page, room types are available for you to select before you create the room block. We have conveniently listed both the room name and room type code in the list. Availability for each room type displays, along with the Minimum Acceptable Rate (MAR) for the dates being booked.
- The popular keyboard shortcuts available today can be used in the new experience. Navigating between cells is a breeze. Simply use the arrow or tab keys on your keyboard to move around seamlessly. CTRL+S is the newest shortcut designed to make it more efficient for you to save your work.
- For long stay group blocks, we have conveniently added buttons that allow you to navigate easily between months of the booking. We have also performed rigorous performance testing to make sure Delphi can handle large group sizes - whether they be a lot of rooms and room types over a short period of time, or a smaller number of rooms and room types over a longer period of time.
With so many new bells and whistles, it's impossible to cover them all. Be sure to check out all the details on the What's New page.
- Changes to the Guestroom Cutoff Date in new room blocks. (CR0127235) Releasing unsold rooms back into inventory is an important part of group management. While most groups can follow your standard property policy for cutoff dates, you may negotiate different arrangements with others. For those times when the cutoff date isn’t standard, it’s easy to forget where this needs to be updated - booking, room blocks or both. In this release, we’ve changed the product behavior to take the guesswork out. Now when you update the cutoff date on a new booking, any room blocks you add will automatically default to the cutoff date of the booking. Good news - this update applies to both current and new versions of the Manage Guestrooms experience.
- Booking Recap report enhancement. (CR0122198) Changes have been made to the Booking Recap report. Instead of only showing an average rate, we now display the rate for each room type, based on the occupancy of the room. This update ensures that all departments using this report have access to accurate information.
- Canary Technologies integration. We are pleased to announce a new product integration with Canary Technologies. Canary's e-signature solution helps you get contracts signed faster by replacing tedious paper practices with an easy electronic process. Canary's payment solution allows your clients to make secure online payments toward their booking charges without the fuss of traditional payment processes. If your property works with either solution, our Delphi product newly interacts with Canary's Salesforce objects. This allows you to conveniently create and send contracts for signature, request payments, and track the status of each directly from your clients booking. Signed documents or payments that you receive are recorded on the booking, keeping all the important details in one central location.
- UpMail integration. We are pleased to announce a new product integration with UpMail. UpMail' s digital sales communication solution saves you time by streamlining the proposal process for your direct leads. By connecting Delphi with UpMail, you allow your user community to easily access UpMail proposal templates directly from within a booking. With just one click of a button, the relevant booking information is applied to a proposal template, allowing you respond to your client's business requests with speed, precision, and expertise.
Fixed Issues
CR0133678: When converting an inquiry into a booking, the system will apply the Auto Default Rates to the room blocks you create, taking into account the default property upcharge values.
CR0136597: When you transfer ownership of an Account Property record, access to the account remains unchanged for the property associated with the original owner of the record.
CR0136867: Delphi can handle and process RFPs even if the secondary Contact/Agent information is missing.
CR0132149: The standard BEO template now displays the price regardless of whether the event item includes text in the Sold By field or not.
CR0136780: Guestroom Revenue displays accurately on the Top Accounts and Booking Export reports.
Amadeus reports show an asterisk symbol (*) next to inactive setup values.

Announcement
Hyperforce. If you are the corporate administrator of your Delphi org, you may have started hearing about something called Hyperforce. Salesforce has re-imagined their infrastructure architecture, moving away from physical servers to store data and taking a public cloud approach. This new platform is called Hyperforce. If you are looking for more information, check out this helpful Salesforce article for a detailed overview about it.
Over the next two years, Salesforce will be migrating orgs from their Salesforce data centers to the Hyperforce platform hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers. Salesforce will notify corporate administrators of their orgs migration time line, no less than 30 days before the date it is scheduled to happen.
As of R47, Delphi has been certified compatible with the Hyperforce platform. If you have any custom integrations in your org, we strongly recommend that you review the available information on migrating to Hyperforce and contact your custom integration vendor to validate their compatibility with it.

New Features
- Function Room Utilization report. (CR0090818) Added by popular demand, the Function Room Utilization report gives you everything you need to know about how your function rooms are being used at your property. This report gives you the ability to see how much time a particular room is in use over the course of a day. You can analyze how event attendance compares to the rooms capacity. With the revenue summary we provide, you have a snapshot at your finger tips of what is being generated by business booked in the space. This helps you make decisions on how to get the best usage out of your space for the highest revenue return. Before you start running the new report, take a moment to follow these steps to set your property up for success.
- Compare pace and productivity numbers to previous years. In 2020, we enhanced our performance reports to allow you to compare same time last year (STLY) to the same time 2 or 3 years ago. As properties continue to recover from the global pandemic, we have extended the choice further. The Guestroom Pace and Productivity (Preview) reports now let you choose if you want to compare to the same time last year (STLY) or up to 5 years ago.
- MeetingBroker RFP updates. We've made some enhancements that improve the way you work with MeetingBroker RFPs.
- RFP inquiries from MeetingBroker can now only be deleted by a corporate administrator. If users with other roles attempt to delete the same records, they will get the message 'You do not have the level of access necessary to perform the operation you requested.'
- We have taken measures to ensure MeetingBroker RFPs that are either missing details or contain incomplete information from the sender (for example, the contact's email address) are always created in Delphi as inquiries.
Fixed Issues
CR0134696: Single sign-on (SSO) users are no longer prompted for a username and password when working with the merge tool. To benefit from this, please download and install the latest version of the Merge Tool. View this topic for more information on the installation steps.
CR0121838: Contact Salutation field can now be longer than 40 characters when creating a Booking from an Inquiry.
CR0135700: When converting a MeetingBroker RFP Inquiry with events running past midnight, the Booking will be created with the Event End Date updated to the following day. If applicable, Booking Departure Date will be automatically shifted.
CR0136138: With Backdating Bookings mode enabled, properties are now able to change the status of a historical booking to Definite.
CR0121702: Room blocks on a lost booking with a lost business status can now be modified.
CR0136424: After creating tasks or events on a booking, users are now returned to the booking after the task or event is saved.
CR0135487: When the Function Room Setup field is added to the BEO Section of the template, it now displays when merging the BEO.
CR0131389: Properties with an active PMS integration will no longer be able to delete Booking Other Income on bookings where pickup has been entered. Attempting to do so will result in the following error message: "Cannot delete Booking Other Income while pickup exists on the room block."
CR0136619: Banquet Access Users with read & write access are able to modify event items on bookings with or without guestrooms.
