Overview: Guestroom types

Room types categorize your different guestrooms, so users can block the specific rooms a group needs. Examples include King, Queen, and Suite. For each room type you create, you need to enter the guestroom inventory over a specified date range. This ensures that the Daily Information section of the Availability page reflects accurate availability.

Guestroom types are defined at the property level and can only be retired, not deleted.

The Run of House (ROH) room type represents the total number of all guestrooms at a property. This room type is provided by default, so you do not need to create it. However, you do need to enter the number of transient protected rooms, rack rate, budgeted rate, and minimum acceptable rate (MAR).

Each property can only have one ROH room type.
