Overview: Guestroom types

Room types categorize your different guestrooms (for example, King, Queen, Double-Double, and Suite) so that users can block the specific rooms a group needs. For each room type you create, you'll need to enter the guestroom inventory over a specified date range. This ensures that the Daily Information section of the Availability page reflects accurate availability.

The Run of House (ROH) room type is provided by default, so you don't need to create it. ROH represents the sum total of all guestroom types at a property. For the ROH type, you'll need to enter the number of transient protected rooms, as well as its rack rate, budgeted rate, and MAR (minimum acceptable rate). You can also enter transient protected and MAR values in the Daily Information section of the Availability page.

Each property can only have one ROH room type.

Guestroom types are defined at the property level and cannot be deleted; however, they can be retired.
