Define package event revenue breakdowns

When you associate an event to a package, you need to define the event's revenue breakdown. Similar to a menu, the revenue breakdown for a package event is used to calculate the per person price. For example, the revenue breakdown of a dinner might allocate 25.00 to Food and 10.00 to Beverage, for a total price of 35.00 per person. The event revenue breakdown, along with the package attendance, is used to calculate the package revenue from an event. Users can later modify this revenue breakdown if they negotiate a different per person price during the booking process. For additional information, see Overview: Event package revenue breakdowns.

To define a new revenue breakdown

  1. Open the package event in Setup.
  2. In the Package Event Revenue Breakdowns section, click New.
  3. In the Unit Price field, enter the amount of the event price that needs to be allocated to the designated revenue classification.
  4. Enter the Revenue Classification or find and select the appropriate classification.
  5. If needed, modify the Admin Charge and Gratuity percentages that need to be applied to this amount of the event price. These values default from the selected revenue classification.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Save to save your changes and return to the Package Event page.
    • Click Save & New to save your changes and add another revenue breakdown to the package event.
    • Click Cancel to discard your changes.
