Overview: Package other income items
The content of this page is specific to the Delphi product type only. If you are using the Delphi Core product type and want to learn more about the Delphi product type, contact your sales representative.
An other income item generates revenue that is not included in the standard event and guestroom categories. Examples of other income items include golf, spa, transportation, parking, restaurant meals, and ski lift tickets. When you build a package in Setup, you can add other income items to the bundle of services being sold. An other income item can be included in the per person package price or as an add-on to the package price.
Before you add other income items to a package in Setup, you need to make sure the items have already been created for the property.
The Charge To setting on the New Package Other Income page determines how the other income needs to be priced and how the quantity is calculated. You can choose from the following values:
-
Master - The other income item is included in the per person package price. The quantity is calculated automatically using the package attendance. The attendance fields in the Price and Attendance grid cannot be modified.
-
Individual - The other income item is not included in the per person package price. The quantity needs to be manually entered using the attendance fields in the Price and Attendance grid.
As an example, the Complete Meeting Package includes two other income items: Parking and Golf. Parking is charged to the Master, so the 30.00 price is included in the total per person package price. Golf is an optional add-on to the package, so it is charged to the Individual and is tracked as non-package revenue.
When other income items are added to a booking, they display in the Other Income section. The On a Package checkbox indicates whether the item is included in the per person package price.
Other income revenue
The revenue from other income items is divided into the appropriate revenue classifications and displays in the following sections on the Booking page:
- Forecasted and Actual Revenue
- Blended Event Revenue
- Package Revenue
The revenue from an other income item only displays on the booking when the Revenue Allocation field is set to S&C on the Other Income page. The S&C option also needs to be selected for the other income item to display in merge documents, such as the booking check.
