Enter property admin and gratuity
Administrators can define multiple property-specific admin and gratuity charges for their revenue classifications. For instance, if one property charges a 20% gratuity for food, and another property charges 18%, you can enter this under the food revenue classification. When users add a food item to an event, the appropriate property admin and gratuity charges automatically apply. With this method, all properties can use the same corporate BEO and Banquet Check templates.
To enter admin and gratuity for a property
- Navigate to Revenue Classifications.
- Choose the appropriate view.
- Select the revenue classification.
- Navigate to the Property Admin and Gratuity section.
- Click New Property Admin and Gratuity.
- Enter the relevant information:
- The Name displays '{AUTO}'. Leave this value to use the default naming convention, for example, 'Food - The City Hotel'.
- In the Property field, select the property.
- In the Admin Charge and Gratuity fields, enter the percentages for the property.
- If applicable, select the Apply Admin & Gratuity to Discount Price checkbox. With this selected, the charges apply to the discount price on all menus and items associated with this revenue classification.
With the checkbox cleared, the base price is used to calculate admin and gratuity unless otherwise indicated. Refer to Apply admin and gratuity to discounts for more information.

Choose one of the following options:
- Click Save to save your changes.
- Click Save and New to save your changes and enter the admin and gratuity for another property.
- Click Cancel to discard your changes.
If necessary, users can adjust the admin and gratuity charges at the event or menu and item levels.
