Open Activities section
With the Salesforce Lightning experience, the Open Activities and Activity History sections of a record are combined into one Activity timeline. With this change, Open Activities is now called Upcoming & Overdue, and Activity History displays by date. The steps below might vary based on the experience you are using.
The Open Activities section displays pending tasks and calendar events for a record. These activities also display in the Tasks and Calendar sections on your Home page.
When you are ready to close a task, you can move it to the Activity History section by closing the task. Your calendar events automatically move to the Activity History after they occur. Once moved, you no longer receive reminders to complete the activity.
If your property uses the RFP activities feature, the Open Activities section on an inquiry or booking can include tasks related to RFP notifications sent from MeetingBroker.
Use the Open Activities section to manage your tasks and calendar events. You can create new activities for the record, edit existing activities that you own, mark tasks complete, and cancel events. For additional information, see Salesforce Help.
