Rebranding
Amadeus Hospitality is excited to announce that we’re bringing back the Delphi brand name that so many of us know and love. We’re in the process of changing Amadeus Hospitality Diagramming (AHD) to Delphi Diagramming. You might see either of those names for a bit while we make the transition.

Full access to Meeting Space settings. We have exciting news! If you ever heard the term “enhanced” meeting space, that meant your room was created by Amadeus. If you needed to make changes to the space, you had to contact us and sometimes purchase services because you didn’t have access. Starting November 7, 2022, we’re removing those limitations!
Between November 7-15, we’ll be rolling out the changes in batches. On November 15, all Property Edition admins will have the new capabilities to edit and optimize their space.
Change the name of some meeting spaces? No problem! Need to set the default aisle size for Theater in the Grand Ballroom? You have that power! And you can adjust your maximum capacities using the Layout Editor!
Yes! Whether changes needed are large or small, you will be able to do them, rather than having to contact Amadeus.

View historical changes to bookings, events, and diagrams. (CR0131765) Have you ever wondered who changed the booking name or deleted a diagram? Click Show History next to a booking, event, or room plan to find out. This is especially helpful if you have multiple members of the team collaborating on the same program of events.

User Roles. We've streamlined the process to grant user access. Instead of having to select all the areas of the system an administrator should be able to access, now all you have to do is click once and assign them a role. The new roles are Property Admin, Web Admin, Diagramming User, and Read Only User. As part of our work, for existing users, we went ahead and applied the role that maintains their current permissions so you don't have to do any extra steps.
Automap rooms and setup styles for integration. (CR0130607, CR0132063) For a smoother integration experience, it's now a breeze to map your meeting spaces and setup styles when your property is integrated with Delphi. In the mappings editor, click Automap once and as if by magic, matching values in the Sales & Catering system will marry up with the values in Delphi Diagramming. If you would like to purchase an integration to Delphi, contact your Amadeus sales representative.

Automatically display labels for resources. (CR0130433) We love to make the system more responsive to you. When you add a text label within resource Settings , we'll now automatically select Show Label for you, so you don't have to remember. If you prefer to hide it, simply clear the check box.
Highlight resources and polygon shapes using a pattern. (CR0131035) While pointing out important seats and tables by adding a pop of color, you can jazz them up further by adding a pattern. Use a solid block of color as you always have, then add white stripes, checks, or criss-cross. With an abundance of possible combinations, you'll make your communication crystal clear between your team and, most importantly, your customer.
Extend dimension lines away from the diagram. (CR0127940) Sometimes you need to explain every little measurement and your diagram can start to look pretty full. You now have the option to move some of the clutter to the side so that it doesn't distract from the main content. Simply click and drag lines drawn using the dimension tool to where you want the measurement to display.
Define the number of steps. Represent the number of steps when adding stairs to your meeting space or event diagram so that your customer can see if it's one step or three to get their equipment up to the stage. After you add steps, click settings and use the new Number of Steps option. The size of the resource will determine the maximum number of steps you can add.

Search and filter users. (CR0135001) Locating a user within a long list can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. From today, you can stop scrolling through the ghosts of Christmas past and present. Instead, type the name, email address, or job title you're trying to find in the new search bar. We guarantee this will save you time managing staff turnover.
History log for capacity chart, layout editor, and manage users. If you're wondering who changed the capacity of the ballroom or deactivated a user, now you just need to click Show History to find out.
Specify the outlets within a floor box. It's all in the details! Customers ask about telephone lines, data connections, and electrical points to plug in their laptops more often than the weather. Why not add the technical details of each floor box to your meeting spaces? Then, when drawing a diagram your team can see the terminals and services supplied to the room. Not only will this improve communication with your customers, but your team will also be able to better plan key elements. Add a Floorbox Outlet to your meeting space, click properties and then select Custom Outlet. Learn more about Customizing Floorbox Outlets.
Capacities display in the Layout Editor. Administrators use the Layout Editor to provide the automatic design for each setup style in the meeting space. In addition to enabling automatic layout for your users, this is a great way to double-check that your published maximum capacities actually fit nicely into the space. We've made that even easier by displaying the number of seats, tables, and booths at the top of the page, and they update as you're making changes. If you think an aisle should be wider or you got new banquet chairs that are an inch bigger than the last ones, you can update those settings and see the immediate impact on the capacity before you click Save.
Enhanced Room Cut Tool. The improved room cut tool makes creating your own meeting spaces easy-breezy. Let's say your ballroom divides into 39 possible combinations. Previously, you had to scroll through this long list to find a particular section or combo. Now, all you have to do is press CTRL on your keyboard and click the segments on the canvas. Any air walls that cross too far over the boundary of the room are automatically cut to size after you click Create and the new room is centered on the canvas. Learn more about creating combination meeting spaces.
Copy and flip a room outline. If your property has not been blessed with straight walls, this one really speeds things up. When creating a new Meeting Space, you can copy and paste the outline of an existing space. There's no need to spend time drawing every nook and cranny—speed up the process by copying the outline you created. You can even turn it over to the opposite side, just like flipping a pancake. You'll have beautiful symmetry in a flash. If you have another similar room, copy and paste the entire room outline—fixed resources and all! After tweaking the outline of your new room, if it's not quite in the center of the canvas, it's going to prove difficult to accurately place things. Select the room and then click Center Diagram in the eyeball.

Use the Hide Location check box when printing. (CR0135005) You now have the option to hide the location of the room when printing, exporting, or batch printing room diagrams. Just like with other print labels, you can choose to show or hide this by default in your user profile.
Fixed Issues:
CR0135123: Events can be created using appropriate setup styles without error.
CR0134986: Up-light Boxes display as expected when printing, or sharing diagrams.
CR0135096: When printing diagrams, the preview and output are as expected.

Add viewpoints to 3D. Before you share a 3D plan with your customer, you can now insert placeholders to direct them to specific points of view in the room. Highlight the view from the perspective of the speaker, the seated audience, or the camera that will be mounted in the ceiling. Sort the visual points into order and name them to take your customer on a journey through the event. Then, all your client has to do is click through the viewpoints of the room as if you were right there with them, leading the way.
Use precise coordinates for placement. When you move your cursor around the canvas, you'll see the coordinates of your position in the key at the bottom of the screen update in real-time. If it's been a minute since you looked at a graph, X is horizontal, and Y is vertical. When you select and move a resource, these coordinates will update to describe the position of top left (TL), center (CTR), and bottom right (BR) with two decimal places. This means you have more reference points to make sure the corners of the dance floor are exactly five feet from the wall without eyeballing the ruler.

Customize internal wall coverings and finishes for 3D render. If the decor differs in each of your function spaces, you can now configure each of them separately so that your three-dimensional diagrams truly reflect your property. The carpet in the ballroom can finally be the deep gorgeous blue that you want to be able to show off, and your garden lawn can be green all year round. Not only will this please your interior designer, your customers from far and wide will have a better grasp on what their event will look like on the day, saving them time, money, and any unwelcome surprises.
Three-dimensional render for meeting space you create yourself. We've been releasing bite-size pieces of functionality that give administrators the ability to add your own meeting space to your property instead of requiring help from Amadeus services. The latest improvement is that you'll now be able to use the 3D functionality in those rooms!
Imperial decimal. When it comes to diagrams, the only measurement we understand is perfection. We'll help you get there faster with the new points editor. When working with imperial measurements and entering exact coordinates, you can now enter inches rather than having to work out the decimal.

Filter the Media Gallery. Do you find yourself scrolling endlessly through the media gallery looking for a particular file? Now you can filter the media gallery by photos, videos, or virtual tours by clicking the file type that you want to exclude from the gallery. When you point to an image, you'll now see its caption pop-up. Most helpfully, you'll now see a still image of videos and virtual tours, making it much easier to identify the file you want to preview. Lastly, when uploading a new media file, only matching file formats will display.
Display a rounded number for the area of a meeting room. If you advertise a room as 5,000 square feet but it technically adds up to 5,004.75, now you can streamline the capacity chart so it's easier for your customers to read. In the Meeting Space editor, select Override Calculated Area and enter the number you want to display. When creating diagrams, the true area will continue to be used to calculate capacity, but your capacity chart will match your marketing material.
Attractions support for Bing Maps. If Google maps are restricted in your region, you can now add attractions to the map on your website using Bing Maps. Entice prospective customers by pointing out nearby golf courses, shopping, or airports that showcase why they will love your location. Administrators will find this by clicking Add in the Attractions Editor.
