Send proposals

When you're ready to bid on an RFP inquiry that was sent to your property via MeetingBroker, you can send a proposal to the meeting planner. You may receive leads from many different channels (for example, Cvent). Because each channel’s website is uniquely designed, the steps for responding can vary. Your process for sending a proposal also depends on whether your property uses Cendyn’s eProposal or the MeetingBroker proposal. Depending on your MeetingBroker policy, sending a proposal may satisfy escalation on the inquiry.

To send a proposal

  1. On the Booking page, click Send Proposal.

Make sure the booking is fully detailed before you click Send Proposal. The bulk of the booking data is uploaded to the channel's website or the eProposal only the first time you click Send Proposal. Any updates you make to the booking after that will require you to manually enter them in both your booking and your proposal. By providing as much information as possible in the first proposal you send, you'll save time and avoid duplicate data entry.

  1. Your next step depends on which channel sent the lead and whether or not MeetingBroker is integrated with eProposal.
  1. On the MeetingBroker proposal page, click the Questions tab. If the planner has included questions, provide your answers and click Save.
  2. Click the Proposal tab.
  3. Click Send.

The Message for Proposal window opens.

  1. Detail the recipients of the proposal, the email text, and the attachments.
  2. Click Submit.

If the lead came from a channel that collects proposal data, the booking details and answers to the planner's questions are uploaded to the channel's response page. You do not need to access their website directly. If the lead came from a channel that does not collect proposal data, an email message with a link to the proposal is sent to the planner.
