Announcements
New guestroom experience
Following our previous announcements about the new redesign experiences, in R54 the new guestroom experience is active by default. For more information, see our Online Help pages for detailed information on each feature: Manage packages, New guestroom user experience, and New Enter Pickup experience.
Optimized user experience - Salesforce Lightning
Amadeus is delighted to unveil our new optimized Delphi record pages, designed to enhance your business operations with the Salesforce Lightning experience. The transition to Lightning is now so straightforward that corporate administrators can manage it independently. The optimized pages include Home, Account, Booking, Booking Event, Contact, Inquiry, Package, Property, and Volume Contract, all organized into tabs to reduce scrolling and improve efficiency and page load times. For more information, see Enable the Salesforce Lightning experience. If you need help or have many custom fields and customizations, contact Amadeus Sales to learn more about our services package offerings.
Online Help has been enhanced to support both Delphi Classic and Lightning experiences.
To support your users with this transition, see the Delphi Lightning Change Management lessons in the Amadeus Learning Universe (ALU).
New product type - Delphi Core
Amadeus is excited to announce a new product type for new properties that do not need all of the features included with Delphi. Delphi Core is designed for limited services properties. It has the same look of Delphi in the Salesforce Lightning user experience with limitations on features. We have updated our Online Help to apply to both product types. To see a list of the Delphi features not available with Delphi Core, see Delphi Core product type limitations.
New Features
-
UpMail integration. The Delphi and UpMail integration, launched in July 2023, has received a noteworthy improvement in efficiency and user experience. UpMail now integrates with MeetingBroker. Users can submit an UpMail proposal from Delphi, Delphi Core, or Delphi Select, and the response is seamlessly sent to MeetingBroker. This ensures that the escalation process in MeetingBroker is satisfied if the escalation is set for RFP Action.
- Import Amadeus Templates. Delphi now offers a new tool that displays a list of Amadeus default merge templates. With this tool, administrators can select default Amadeus templates to create and configure for the property. A new document template record is created and the corresponding Word document is attached. Administrators can also download a selected default Word document to replace an existing document attached to an already created document template record. For more information, see Import Amadeus templates.
- Ability to include Delphi Diagramming room plans when batch merging BEOs. (CR0128192) We have removed the need to print documents from two different products. Properties that integrate with Delphi Diagramming now have the option to include the event room plan with the BEO when batch merging. For more information, see Overview: Batch merge and Batch merge booking documents.
-
Agent and Agency fields added to the Inquiry Detail page. (CR0121104) To help you monitor all business coming from outside agencies, Delphi now has Agent and Agency fields available to be added to the Inquiry Details page by your corporate administrator. You no longer need to wait for the business to become a booking to track agency collaboration. For more information, see View inquiry details. Corporate administrators, see Add Agent and Agency fields to the Inquiry page for enablement instructions.
If you are in the Lightning experience, and using the new Lightning experience default Inquiry record page, the Agent and Agency fields have been added for you.
-
Option event notifications (CR0091430) When a customer requests an unavailable function space, users can add the booking to a waiting list. In Delphi, this waiting list is referred to as option events. As of R54, users can be notified when option event function space becomes available. Two fields on the Property page help manage these notifications.
-
Enable Option Event Notifications - When selected, this feature is enabled, and users receive automatically generated tasks when option event function space becomes available.
-
Consolidate Option Event Notifications - When selected, users receive only one task for each booking that requested the function space. When this checkbox is cleared, users receive one task per event, even when the events are on the same booking.
Events are not automatically moved into option event space when the space becomes available. Instead, tasks are generated for all owners of bookings waiting for the function space. Your property can then review the different option events and decide which booking to move into the available space. For more information, see Option event notifications.

Announcements
Over the last few years, we have used your feedback as the basis to redesign some of our product features, specifically Manage Packages and the Guestroom management experience. We modernized the look and feel of the pages, and we introduced faster, easier, and more efficient ways to work.
To date, activating these features has been optional. This announcement and the newly added message on the classic guestroom experience serve as notice that in a coming release, we will be enabling these new experiences, by default, when your org is patched to the latest release. An additional announcement, with the release and timing, will be made on this page. Stay tuned for more.
To prepare yourself and your teams, now is the time to visit our Online Help pages for more details on each feature: Manage Packages, New guestroom user experience, and New Enter Pickup page. Delphi to Delphi Diagramming Single Sign-On (SSO). (CR0134133) As of R52, properties that are integrated with Delphi Diagramming do not need to enter their Delphi Diagramming credentials each time they click View Diagram. After a Delphi user logs in to Delphi Diagramming from within Delphi the first time, their user credentials are saved until their Delphi Diagramming login information changes.
This content was added on October 29, 2024.
- Increased room night capacity when merging. (CR0131028) By moving the merge process to the background, users can now merge bookings with up to 1200 room nights in single occupancy, or up to 240 room nights using S/D/T/Q occupancy. Administrators can adjust the room night quantity threshold (default is 400) within the Background Recalculation Settings under Amadeus Settings.
- Override label in new guestroom experience. In the new guestroom experience, corporate administrators can now override the label for PMS ID/Group Code if needed. If your Org currently uses the previously available label override, the new guestroom experience will now show it. .

When checking availability or creating a room block, users will receive live updates from the external source, ensuring precise information on room availability. This allows revenue maximization by leveraging real-time data to make well-informed decisions. See Enable External Availability integration for information on feature enablement.

New Features
- Exclude custom fields when cloning bookings. (CR0137716) Ever encountered the tedious task of removing irrelevant custom field data after cloning a booking? Look no further – we've got a solution just for you! Our latest org-wide default setting, Exclude unmanaged fields when cloning bookings, empowers corporate administrators to effortlessly streamline users' way to work. After activation, this feature revolutionizes the cloning process by preventing values from custom booking fields from automatically transferring to the new cloned bookings, unless the field is required. This enhancement translates to a more efficient way to work, saving you valuable time that was previously spent on manually removing outdated or irrelevant data.
- Booking Recap Report printing orientation option. (CR0121563) Have you always wanted options when it comes to the orientation of your booking recap? We have great news for you! You can now view the report not only in landscape mode, but also in portrait mode when generating as a PDF. Having the option to choose the orientation can provide a more consolidated view of the report data. Additionally, if this report is one of your reports usually distributed to staff, having it in the same orientation as the other reports can make it easier to review.
- New Enter Pickup experience. In R49, we released our new guestroom experience: a redesigned Manage Guestrooms page, with an updated look and feel to the inline Guestroom panel on the booking. With this release, we are thrilled to announce the all new Enter Pickup page. All guestroom pages now have a consistent user experience. We made it faster to enter pick up by giving you flexibility to choose how many room blocks you want displayed and which occupancies you need to enter. With a new dashboard, keyboard shortcuts and improved page interaction, entering and marking pickup complete has never been easier. See Enable the new Enter Pickup Experience for information on feature enablement.
- New Delphi Autotraces experience. As busy sales and catering professionals, you’re always managing a million details. To save you from manually creating a standard set of tasks, Delphi automatically creates the activities you need to stay on track with managing your inquiries and bookings. With this release, we are introducing a new, alternative way for corporate and property administrators to efficiently manage property Autotraces. The newly added Manage Autotraces page provides a standardized list of tasks, offering administrators a toolset to customize and activate the ones that are appropriate for their business practices. See Enable Property Autotraces for information on feature enablement.
- Revised authentication for UpMail integration. We are excited to announce that our UpMail integration, launched in July 2023, received a noteworthy improvement to the authentication process directly within Delphi. This upgrade guarantees a faster login experience, allowing you to allocate more of your time to crafting personalized proposals for your clients. Rest assured, while the login process has been refined for a smoother and more efficient workflow, the proposal process itself remains unchanged.
Fixed Issues
CR0134888: The activity type is now transferred when copying activities during the conversion of an inquiry into a booking.
CR0137670: The Save and Save & Close buttons are illuminated when users add, delete, or modify room rates in the new guestroom user experience, regardless of their inclusive pricing settings.
CR0132301: If a Delphi RFP Inquiry is no longer associated with its original MeetingBroker RFP, users will receive a notification advising them to contact Support for additional assistance.
CR0136235: If a user attempts to update the PMS/Group ID on a Catering or Event Only booking that is integrated with the PMS, a more explicit message will be shown, providing clear reasons for the inability to change the field.
CR0130793: We have improved product compatibility with the Chile Summer Time time zone. Events and associated items, when added to bookings, are now correctly saved with the intended date and time.
CR0132746: If an event is scheduled during a Daylight Saving Time shift, the associated event items will now show precise Service Start and Service End Times, adjusting for the time change.
