New features
- Replace setup values on existing records. Administrators can now replace setup values for existing records. This is extremely helpful for cleanup after you migrate a new property into your database, or if your organization changes existing setup values. For example, if your brand decides to combine the national association and state association market segments into one segment called Association, use the new Replace Setup Values option to replace the old segments with the new one. In a matter of minutes, all accounts and bookings are updated and you can run your reports with the new values. All corporate administrators will see Replace Setup Values under Amadeus Settings immediately following your upgrade. Corporate administrators can give property administrators access by assigning the new Replace Setup Values permission set in their user profile.
- Freeze cutoff date at definite.(CR0131658) The system automatically updates the cutoff date when the arrival date changes on a booking—which is very helpful when you're in the negotiation process. However, it's rare that you want to change the cutoff date after a booking goes definite. Currently, if you add a few staff or early arrival rooms to a definite booking's room block, that changes the arrival date, which in turn updates the cutoff date. This is especially troublesome for properties with a PMS integration because the block is released earlier than expected. If you want to prevent the automatic update to the Cutoff Date field when a room block is updated on a definite booking, property administrators can select the new Freeze Cutoff Date at Definite field in the Booking & Event Configuration section of the Property page. Users will still be able to manually update the cutoff date if necessary, and updates are still accepted from the PMS integration. Note: the cutoff date is still updated if you use the Move Booking button.
- Create guestroom types. Here's a win for administrators! We've updated the user experience for adding your property's guestroom types and inventory. On the Property page, when you create guestroom types you'll see a grid that allows you to enter multiple guestrooms types on one page. You can now clearly see what has already been entered, keep track of your progress, and tab from one field to the next for easy data entry. This is far superior to the previous experience where you could only enter one guestroom type at a time.
- Catering Pace report. (CR0132695, CR0132704, CR0121510) This report compares each month's budget to the event revenue on the books now, as well as revenue for the same time for the last three years. Previous pace reports only compared monthly event budgets, this report displays a comparison to budgets that are monthly or not. Find the new Catering Pace report in the Preview Reports section of the Amadeus Reports tab.
- Peak roomnights from MeetingBroker. (CR0122240) Inquires received from MeetingBroker now include peak roomnights. This additional information can be used to assign the appropriate owner, evaluate the opportunity, or prioritize leads using one of the RFP Inquiry list views. Peak roomnights can also be included in custom reports.
- Lost comments to MeetingBroker. (CR0130806) When you receive a MeetingBroker lead from an above-property sales office using Central Sales (formerly known as Connex), you can now send personalized lost comments without ever leaving the system. When you change the status of an inquiry or a booking that came from MeetingBroker to Lost, Turndown, or Cancelled, the information you enter in the Lost Comments field is automatically sent to Central Sales. Now you'll spend less time responding to leads that don't materialize, while still adding that personal touch. We're working with Cvent to add this capability for their RFPs soon.
Fixed Issues
CR0129267: From the Manage Menus and Items window you can now easily open the Manage Events window. Here's an example of the improved workflow. If you're working in the Function Diary and want to view the group's selected menus and items, right-click an event and select Manage Menus & Items. Now, from there, you if want to update the event attendance, view a room diagram, or update the room setup, you don't have to close the Manage Menus and Items window—instead, right-click the Event Name and select Manage Events. Give it a try—it's a nice shortcut.
CR0129268: We've improved the flow for merging a banquet check from the Manage Menus and Items and Manage Events window. To merge a banquet check from one of those windows, click Preview & Merge, click Go to Merge, and then select the banquet check template—notice the system now retains the BEO number—ah, a small but really nice update.
CR0131422: When working with a detailed menu, all the menu items are displayed in the Items tab. This is where you manage how each item is priced, enter the booked and actual quantity, and other details. You can now customize the column order, sort columns, and even add or remove columns based on your preference. To save these settings, click Save View in the top-right corner of the Items tab.
CR0091382: In the Manage Menu & Items page, there's a new shortcut to select all events. For example, your customer wants sparkling water available at all 15 of their events. Before, you would have to click 15 times to select each event. Now, in the Manage Menus and Items page, select All Events in the Events picklist, right-click an event header, and select Check All Events. Now, when you add the sparkling water it is added to all the events—this is a huge time saver.

- Compare pace and productivity numbers to previous years. 2020 may not be the year you want to compare to when you run pace and productivity reports in the future. The Guestroom Pace and Productivity (Preview) reports now let you choose if you want to compare to same time last year (STLY), same time 2 years ago, or same time 3 years ago.

New features
- Update MAR and transient protected values. (CR0126927) The Minimum Acceptable Rate (MAR), displayed on the Availability page, is used by directors to communicate the lowest group guestroom rate to quote for a date. If a sales manager wants to offer a lower rate, they're encouraged to seek director approval. As you know, rates can fluctuate quite quickly. To make it easier for directors to keep this information up-to-date, administrators can now update both the MAR and Transient Protected directly on the Availability page—click into the field, enter the new value, and click Save.
- Enhanced inquiry reporting. (CR0132980) A new Market Segment field has been added to the Inquiry page. This allows you to capture the market segment of the inquiry without an associated account. We've also updated the Inquiry report type that is used to create custom reports to include the following fields: Inquiry Market Segment, Meeting Type, and Lead Source.
- Validate PMS ID/Group Code when converting an inquiry. (CR0131174) When converting an inquiry to a booking, if your property has a PMS interface that requires you to enter a unique room block code, like Opera or LMS, you enter the code on the Create Booking from Inquiry page. Before R39, if the code was not unique or formatted correctly, the inquiry would not successfully convert to a booking—causing you to try again until you provide a valid code. To improve this workflow, we've added a Check if Valid/Unique button next to the PMS ID/Group Code field on the Create Booking from Inquiry page. Now you can verify that your code is valid to ensure the booking is successfully created.
- Contact data storage. To meet the requirements of Russian data privacy laws, you now have the ability to send contact data to a property specific data store. Implementing this new functionality requires custom configuration. Contact your Amadeus sales representative for more information.
- Salesforce release updates. From time to time, Salesforce makes updates to their platform which may impact customizations implemented in an org, click for additional information.

Fixed issues
CR0132474 - When converting an inquiry to a booking, if the inquiry is from MeetingBroker or has a temporary contact, we try to find a matching existing contact. Previously, the suggested matches in the Create Booking page were determined just by last name. Now we use the first name, last name, and email address to provide more qualified search results.
CR0132613 - You can change the booking owner without error using the Change Owner button.
CR0122597 - If you update the Booking Post As, the name on associated room blocks is also updated (if the names are an exact match).
CR0132201 - When running the Productivity, Productivity Verification, Guestroom Pace, and Guestroom Pace Verification reports, you can now select Picked Up in the Guestroom criteria. When you select the Picked Up option, the guestroom details in the report will be displayed based on picked up numbers. This is true whether pickup has been marked complete or not.
CR0132344 - Function room taxes are now included in the Banquet Check Revenue Summary report for events that have no items.
CR0132258 - Users in an org with more than 5,000 shared accounts can create a new booking from the Bookings tab without error.
CR0132248 - MeetingBroker integration: If a Cvent RFP has zero rooms on day one, the room block will be created with the correct date when the inquiry is converted to a booking.
CR0131165 - Opera integration: To prevent discrepancies, only the Opera data (entered by the NWS Integration User) will be saved in the guestroom pickup fields. Changes made to a room block by any other user will not update pickup values, preventing Opera updates from being overwritten.
